History of The George Institute Centre for CardioVascular Health

The George Institute Centre for CardioVascular Health is a specialist vascular clinic and an initiative of The George Institute for International Health. The George Institute is a not-for-profit organisation affiliated with the University of Sydney. The George Institute Centre for CardioVascular Health has grown out of the well respected Royal Prince Alfred Lipid Clinic in Camperdown, which has been operating since 1986, under the leadership of Associate Professor David Sullivan. The Centre has built on the successes of the Lipid Clinic to provide additional specialist expertise on blood pressure, nutrition, lifestyle, smoking prevention, and physical activity.
